2 What is the difference between HiContacts and HiContacts Pro?
Firstly, HiContacts has one category under which all Contacts will reside. HiContacts Pro has three categories - Clients, Prospects and Suppliers - plus for each there is specific functionality available. For example, the Clients category allows a log of recent and current projects to be kept. The Prospects category records the interest the prospective client has, the value and recent communication. The Suppliers category allows the nature of the service to be recorded. HiContacts Pro also allows Users to search for Contacts accross all categories.

Secondly, HiContacts Pro allows a 'one to many' type relationship for each record added. This is particularly useful when you have many contacts belonging to a single company. HiContacts Pro allows you to assign a Key Contact for each record added, and an unlimited number of further contacts. This 'one to many' relationship is not present in HiContacts.

Thirdly, HiContacts Pro allows each User to manage their own online Diary / Calendar, as opposed to purely having use of a single shared Diary in HiContacts. In HiContact Pro, Users can choose whether to 'View All Users', or choose to filter the view to any one User. Users are restricted to only editing their own Diary - an Administrator however can edit all.

6 How does the User management work?
At the point where the product is installed, we will create an Administrator account for you. With Admin privileges, you will be able to create an unlimited number of Users, each with a unique Username and Password. Administrators can also create further Administrator Accounts. All Accounts are managed online from a singe point, and include Usage History, and search system to easily locate a specific User in a large User database. User account can also be Viewed, Edited or Deleted. Deleting an Account will remove that User's access to the system.

7 HiContacts includes a shared Diary - what is that?
The online Diary / Calendar allows Users to upload entries of engagements. For examples, meetings, holidays, deadlines etc. The Diary in HiContacts is a single Diary, designed to be shared by all Users. Searches can be performed by Entry Name, and Date.

Each entry is supported by a configurable Reminders system. Users can specify who to remind, and when to remind them. An automated email is then sent to that User, with details of the diary entry.

8 HiContacts includes email list managment - what is that?
This is a sophisticated feature which allows Users to firstly compose emails and store them within the database, and secondly create a series of mailing lists from the Contacts database. A 'mail merge' feature then generates individually addressed emails, and sends them directly from the webserver, on the fly.

There is no limit to the number of email lists, or email templates that can be stored on the system. The size of email lists depends on the number of contacts in the database.

9 Can I have multiple email lists, and how large?
Yes - there is no limit to the number of email lists you can store on the system. Email lists are generated from the Contacts stored on your system - there is no limit to the number, but obviously you can't have more than the total number of Contacts in your database!

15 How does the licensing work?
Per installation, as opposed to Per User. Every installation of HiContacts requires a license, purchased at the full cost of the product. If many licenses are required, then a discount will be offered. There is no limit to the number of Users that may use a single installation of HiContacts, and this has no bearing on the cost.
